Our Most Popular Zoom Event of 2020!

This "Meet the Media" event was held in October 2020 and featured 3 key representatives from CT media! Each discussed their outlet’s news priorities, how those priorities have changed during the pandemic, what they see as the path forward and how PR professionals can help them on that path. Our guest speakers were: Rick Green, Director of Content at the Hartford Courant; Jeff Cohen, News Director, Connecticut Public Radio (WNPR); and Sarah Cody, Reporter and Anchor with WTNH News 8.

The impact and importance of mastering the use of social media as part of public relations is a given, but how effective is your social media strategy? Understanding the basics of social media analytics is the key to answering that question. This event offered participants with practical, foundational skills that can be applied immediately by reviewing an introduction to analytics in reporting social media return on investment and optimizing content strategies.

The featured speaker of this event was Dr. Mary E. Dunn, Assistant Professor of Advertising at Quinnipiac University. As a professor in the Department of Strategic Communication, Mary teaches courses on advertising and integrated communications, social media, and media planning. Her research centers on transparency in native advertising, media effects on audiences, and analytic attribution modeling.

If already know the basics of the analytical side of social media, this recording will be a great refresher. Additionally, you will receive access to Mary E. Dunn’s presentation slides and a list of 30+ suggested digital marketing certifications that can help bridge the gap between the classroom and the industry.
